Cavendish Corporate Finance (‘Cavendish’), the specialist sell-side mid-market M&A firm, has advised industrial investment company Clyde Blowers Capital (‘CBC’) on its sale of hydraulic technologies provider Hydreco Hydraulics (‘Hydreco’) to Duplomatic Motion Solutions (‘Duplomatic’), sponsored by Alcedo SGR.
Hydreco has developed an industry leading product portfolio for the hydraulics market, including pumps and motors, power take off units, cylinders, valves and pilot controls, targeting applications where customers require an engineered solution. Since acquiring Hydreco in 2008, CBC has developed and broadened Hydreco’s range of products and expanded their market presence. Hydreco’s global footprint now includes a presence in China, India and Australia, across the transport, defence, and construction sectors. The acquisition of Hydreco consolidates Duplomatic’s position as a leader in the global motion control market.
Jim McColl, CEO and Chairman of Clyde Blowers Capital, commented: “I am thrilled to announce the successful exit of Hydreco to Duplomatic. Following an impressive period of global expansion and product development, the company is now well placed for their next chapter of growth under new ownership. It’s been a great pleasure working with the team at Hydreco and we wish them all the very best for the future.”
Roberto Maddalon, CEO and Chairman of Duplomatic commented: “We at Duplomatic are happy to welcome Hydreco and their management within our Group. This acquisition is a further step in our growth path, aimed at consolidating our leading position in the market and widening our product portfolio and international footprint”.
Cavendish has an extensive record in the industrials sector. Recent high profile transactions include the sale of Xtrac, a designer of high performance automotive transmissions to Inflexion Private Equity.
The Cavendish team was led by James Ellis, Partner, who commented: “Cavendish is delighted to have supported Clyde Blowers Capital on the sale of Hydreco. The M&A market for quality industrial assets such as Hydreco remains very strong and this transaction further demonstrates our ability to identify and close deals with international buyers.”
