Cavendish begins 2009 with 'Boutique of the Year' and 'Deal of the Year' award wins!

Cavendish Corporate Finance LLP has begun 2009 in winning style, achieving success in two leading industry awards. The firm collected Mid-Market Deal of the Year for the sale of Princess Yachts International at the Acquisitions Monthly Awards, and has also been named as Advisory Boutique of the Year at the European Venture Capital Journal (EVCJ) Awards.

These award wins build on earlier and extensive awards success in 2007 and 2008.

The sale of Princess Yachts International, one of the world's premier yachting brands, to Groupe Arnault, LVMH, L Capital and other co-investors, took place in May 2008 and was one of Cavendish's largest ever deals.

Against strong competition, the Acquistions Monthly Awards panel praised Cavendish for its innovative and thorough approach to deal making.

Awarding the title of Advisory Boutique of the Year, the EVCJ Awards panel noted Cavendish's active involvement with the private equity and venture capital industry amid challenging market conditions.

Particular mention was made of both Cavendish's Exit Review plan, which is aimed specifically at enhancing value and positioning businesses for sale during the 6-18 months prior to commencing a sale exercise, and the firm's work as a member of M&A International, the world's leading M&A alliance.
