Cavendish advises on the sale of 4D
31 May 2007Cavendish Corporate Finance is pleased to announce the sale of 4D Interactive Limited to its senior management team and Promethean plc for an undisclosed sum.
4D, which currently enjoys annual profits of over £5 million, is the UK's leading multi-channel, multi-media businesses delivering fun entertainment services to a number of different user communities. 4D delivers its core services into three different markets including the straight ''chat and date'' market, the gay ''chat and date'' market and the ''spiritual'' market.
4D takes a share of the revenue generated by the network operators such as British Telecom (for voice calls) and mobile aggregators such as WIN Plc (for text). Whilst 4D has the ability to deliver its services across five different platforms (voice, mobile messaging, mobile video, TV and the web), most of its revenues are generated through voice (on mobiles and fixed lines) and mobile messaging.
Following a short period of exclusivity for due diligence and contract negotiations, a transaction with Promethean Plc was concluded in May 2007.
The majority shareholder of 4D commented: ''We were delighted with the personal service offered by the team at Cavendish. We were expertly guided through some very difficult situations with a unique level of focus.''
[Paul Herman] of Cavendish Corporate Finance, who led the transaction, commented: ''We took the decision to run with a single bidder from the outset as opposed to structuring a market-wide auction process. In doing so we had to ensure that this preferred bidder delivered the right deal within a very tight timetable.
