Cavendish Corporate Finance announce the sale of Retail Profile Limited

16 May 2007

Cavendish Corporate Finance is pleased to announce the sale of Retail Profile Limited to Amery Capital for an undisclosed consideration.

Retail Profile is the leading 'speciality retail leasing' business in the UK. The business was established in 2001 by two entrepreneurs, Julia Langkraehr and Kathy Wilson. Retail Profile acquires transportable retailing units (known as ''Retail Merchandising Units'' or ''RMUs'') from a number of suppliers and then contracts with various shopping centre owners, by way of five or six year lease agreements, to position the RMUs at specific locations within the various shopping centres.

Once the RMU is in the shopping centre, Retail Profile leases space on the individual RMUs (for periods of between two weeks and four months) to one of a number of merchants who retail a variety of products and services directly to the public. Products sold on the RMU by merchants range from jewellery and handbags to candles and homewares.

The business is built on a well established concept that has been operating successfully in the United States of America for over 30 years.

Julia Langkraehr, a shareholder of Retail Profile commented: ''We were delighted with the personal service offered by the team at Cavendish. The process was managed professionally and we were confident that the team understood the intimacies of a private sale including the need to maintain competitive tension throughout the process and the need to maintain confidentiality.''

[Paul Herman] of Cavendish Corporate Finance, who led the transaction, commented: ''We are delighted to have identified a buyer that was able to deliver the right deal for shareholders, but at the same time provide the incumbent team with an additional skill set to help grow the business in the coming years.''
