Cavendish advises Hero Brands on strategic investment in German Doner Kebab by True.
Cavendish is pleased to announce it has advised Hero Brands, the owner of German Doner Kebab (GDK), on a strategic investment by True, a leading investment and innovation firm focused on the consumer sector.
Since launching in the UK in 2015, GDK has grown quickly to over 145 UK locations and over 170 globally. GDK has set out to redefine the kebab experience whilst building an exciting Gen-Z focused brand rooted in music, sport and popular culture. GDK has developed an extensive menu of fresh to order products featuring premium lean meats, unique toasted waffle bread and handmade signature sauces, such as the Boss Box and the OG Kebab.
Henry Wells, Head of Consumer at Cavendish, added:
“We are delighted to have advised Hero Brands on this significant transaction. GDK is one of the most exciting brands in the QSR space, combining strong unit economics with genuine cultural resonance and the partnership with True positions the business to accelerate its global ambition. Congratulations to Athif, Simon Wallis, the CEO of GDK and the investment team at True for completing this transaction – which is great news for both the business and the sector.”
