Cavendish Non-Executive Director Programme

2025

Event overview

Cavendish is hosting a series of invite-only breakfasts for the non-executive community throughout the year. These breakfasts are designed to brief NEDs on our insights and experience, based on ongoing deal flow and conversations within our network, to help empower board room debate and are hosted by Lisa Gordon (of Cavendish Financial plc).

Our upcoming events

18 March 2026
Agency, Optimism and Britain’s Future, featuring renowned pollster and political analyst, James Kanagasooriam and Eddie Barnes from the John Smith Centre (focus: Relevant to all)

Time: 5pm arrival (for a 5.15pm start) until 6.30pm, with optional networking from 6.30pm onwards.

Cavendish will be joined by James Kanagasooriam and Eddie Barnes for an interactive discussion on Britain’s growing cultural and political malaise. Drawing on James’ landmark national research, the event will explore the decline of agency – the belief that people can shape their own lives – and how its erosion is fuelling pessimism and stagnation across society.

In conversation with Eddie from the John Smith Centre, James will argue that economic growth must be matched by a cultural and psychological rebuilding of agency if Britain is to recover and thrive. The session will share fresh insights and practical lessons for leaders seeking to restore confidence, optimism and a sense of possibility in public life.

19 March 2026
Remuneration
(focus: Capital Markets)

Time: 8.30am (for a 9am start) until 10.30am, with optional networking until 11am.

Cavendish will be joined by Matt Higgins and Sahul Patel, expert remuneration consultants from FIT, who will share an update on the latest remuneration trends and provide an opportunity for Remuneration Committee members to ask questions. The session will also cover a range of topical themes, including shareholder votes on Remuneration Reports and Policies, as well as key considerations for boards contemplating a transfer from AIM to the Main Market.

17 June 2026
Culture, Governance & Lessons from Corporate Failure
(focus: Relevant to all)

Time: 8.30am (for a 9am start) until 10.30am, with optional networking until 11am.
