Philip graduated from Birmingham University in 1982 with an honours degree in Engineering Production. He went on to work at British Leyland where he was involved in the robotics for the new Mini Metro.
Philip joined Price Waterhouse London in 1983, working on a wide range of audit and consultancy projects. He qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1986.
Since qualification, Philip has gained extensive corporate finance experience, initially with Hambros Bank, where he was in the engineering team. He has been involved in the full range of advisory projects, including acquisitions and disposals, management buy-outs, flotations and privatisations.
Since leaving Hambros Bank in 1994, Philip has concentrated on providing corporate finance advice to mid-market corporate clients and owner-managers. He has developed a particular specialisation in the manufacturing and engineering sector.
Philip joined Cavendish in 1999 and heads the Industrials Group.
