Jonathan studied Biology at Oxford University, graduating in 1987.
On leaving university he worked for a start-up manufacturing operation for one year. He then joined a small corporate finance house where he worked on a variety of transactions, mostly advising small private companies, and assisted in the formation of a new business planning service.
In 1990 he joined Coopers & Lybrand, where he qualified as a Chartered Accountant and worked as an associate in the management consultancy division, also working on a number of audit and corporate tax assignments.
In 1994 he was recruited to the corporate finance department of Hambros Bank, where he worked on a wide range of transactions including flotations, rights issues, acquisitions, disposals and a major international trade sale.
Jonathan joined Cavendish in 1996 and heads the Consumer Group. He has also developed a technical specialisation in the use of warranty insurance for venture capital exits.
