Raymond has been involved in the financing, management and sale of growing companies for over 18 years.
After qualifying as an Accountant, Raymond joined a City-based private venture capitalist, working on investments, realisations and investee management support. In 1985 he moved to accounting software developer Tetra as its finance director.
Since 1989 he has provided advice to companies on fund raising, business development, mergers and acquisitions, and in guiding companies towards a public offering.
Between 1989 and 1995 he was a director of Surfcontrol Plc, now a FTSE techMARK 100 company, and between 1994 and 1997 was deputy chairman and finance director of Active Imaging Plc, a developer of digital imaging transmissions systems. He is a member of 3i Group Plc's non-executive director programme and is a board member of a small number of developing companies in the TMT (technology, media and telecom) sector.
Raymond joined Cavendish in December 1999, as a director, to lead and strengthen Cavendish's focus on the sale of businesses in the TMT sector. He has considerable expertise in completing cross-border transactions and in valuing intangible assets.
