This is a great example of how Oaklins delivers for clients by combining local insight with global reach. Working alongside our colleagues in Portugal enabled us to bring the right buyers to the table and deliver a strong outcome for the shareholders of Airport AI. We’re pleased to have played a role in the next chapter of growth for both Airport AI and 15below.”

CEO, Cavendish
Cavendish advises on the sale of Airport AI to 15below, a portfolio company of LDC.
Airport AI, a fast-growing provider of automated passenger communications for airports, has been acquired by 15below, the travel technology business backed by private equity firm LDC. We worked closely with our Portuguese colleagues on buyer engagement and overall deal strategy, helping to shape the process and ensure international interest was converted into a successful outcome.
The transaction represents a strategic milestone for Airport AI, enabling the team to join a global platform while accelerating international expansion. With headquarters in Portugal, Airport AI helps airport operators automate critical passenger interactions – from disruption alerts and queue updates to real-time customer support — all through a scalable, cloud-based platform.
The company serves major airports across Europe and Asia and has built a strong base of recurring revenue with healthy EBITDA margins. Its technology addresses a growing need for consistent, real-time passenger communication in a sector under increasing operational pressure.
For 15below, the acquisition marks a deliberate move into the airport space. Known for its automation tools used by over 60 airlines globally, the business is extending its communications capability across the full traveller journey. Airport AI’s solution offers a natural fit.
The deal underscores Cavendish’s ability to support founder-led and growth-stage technology businesses across Europe. Through our membership of Oaklins, a global M&A advisory platform with over 800 professionals in 45 countries, Cavendish regularly works cross-border to connect high-growth software companies with strategic and financial acquirers worldwide.
