Moneybox
Moneybox becoming the first major UK fintech to complete an employee liquidity event through the PISCES framework is a significant milestone, both for the company and for the continued evolution of the UK’s private capital markets.
Following the recent Wayve transaction, it is encouraging to see another leading UK growth company embrace this new market infrastructure. The participation of a fintech business of Moneybox’s scale, quality and profile is a strong endorsement of the platform and an important step towards building deeper, more dynamic capital markets in the UK.
We are delighted to have supported Crowdcube on this landmark transaction. Crowdcube continues to pioneer secondary market liquidity on the Private Securities Market, helping to broaden access to liquidity solutions for employees and shareholders in private companies. As adoption of the PISCES framework accelerates, we look forward to seeing more ambitious UK businesses utilise innovative liquidity mechanisms to support long-term growth and shareholder engagement”.

Moneybox’s £45m employee share sale marks another milestone for London’s Private Securities Market.
Cavendish acted as Trading Registered Auction Agent to Crowdcube on the transaction.
The London Stock Exchange’s Private Securities Market (PSM) continues to demonstrate its potential as a venue for shareholder liquidity in high-growth private companies.
Following the successful employee share sale for autonomous driving pioneer Wayve earlier this month, fintech leader Moneybox has completed a £45 million employee liquidity event, run through the London Stock Exchange’s Private Securities Market.
Founded in 2016, Moneybox has grown into one of the UK’s leading digital wealth management platforms, helping more than 1.9 million customers save, invest, buy a home and prepare for retirement, with over £23 billion of assets under administration.
The transaction has been structured as an employee liquidity event, allowing long-serving employees with vested equity to realise some of the value they have helped create while enabling the company to remain private and continue its growth journey.
Crowdcube managed the employee seller and investor participation process, while Cavendish was delighted to act as Trading Registered Auction Agent to Crowdcube on the transaction.
Together with the recent Wayve transaction and the inaugural Oxford Science Enterprises auction, Moneybox represents a further important milestone in the evolution of the UK’s private secondary market infrastructure. The growing adoption of the PSM highlights increasing demand for structured liquidity solutions that provide an alternative to traditional exit routes such as a trade sale or IPO, whilst allowing companies to remain private for longer.
