Cavendish is delighted to announce the appointment of Chris Malcolm and Anthony Platt to Co-Heads of Technology.

Since the start of 2021 the team has closed 15 technology deals including The Floow, Boku Identity, Wood Thilsted, Mail Manager, Intelling, Xexec, Systal and Redcentric / Piksel, with a strong and expanding pipeline of upcoming opportunities. In addition, the team is a key part of the Oaklins global technology practice which has closed over 80 transactions across TMT in the last 12 months.

Chris and Anthony both have over 15 years’ experience covering the broader technology and telecoms sector and are focused on expanding the practice as it responds to an increasing pipeline of new opportunities within both the private and public arenas.

Chris joined Cavendish in September 2019. He has over 17 years’ experience covering the global technology, media and telecoms space and has advised clients on acquisitions, disposals and capital raisings with an aggregate transaction value in excess of £25bn.

In particular, he has experience of working with clients all the way through the growth process, from debt and equity raising for start-ups, to working with multinational strategic operators and private equity buyers on global opportunities.

Anthony is passionate about the technology sector and has extensive experience leading transactions in the software and services space. Previously he held senior roles in the technology M&A team at Grant Thornton and prior to that EY in London.

He has led and advised on transactions across the technology and telecoms sectors, including software verticals; healthcare, legal, construction, GRC (Governance Risk and Compliance), insurance, cyber security, identity and authentication management.

In addition, Anthony, has worked with many of the leading US, UK and European growth equity funds and has successfully completed transactions with Apple, Microsoft, Sony, Twilio and Silicon Labs.
